Vietnam Immigration Department sets up the regulations about entry and exit for foreigners entering Vietnam with passports and visas as below.

Passports

Your passport must be valid for at least six months upon arrival in Vietnam. Many nationalities need to arrange a visa in advance.

Visas

It is complicated and fast-changing now because some nationalities need a visa in advance for all visits, some don't (for 15 or 30 day stays).

The visa situation has recently changed for many nationalities. The government has eased visa exemption rules, offer visa exemption for more countries and reduced stamping visa fee in a bid to stimulate tourism in Vietnam.

Visa regulation

Firstly, if you are not in the visa exemption list, you need to apply for a Vietnam visa.

There are two ways of applying for a visa: via online visa agent, vietnamvisavoa.com or via a Vietnamese embassy or consulate. Tourist visas are valid for either 30 days or 90 days. For Vietnamvisavoa.com, we offer a good deal for a single-entry 30-day visa with US$18, and US$50 for a three-month multiple entry visa.

Online visa agent: Vietnamviavoa.com

This is the preferred method for most travellers arriving by airplane because it is cheaper, faster and you don't have to take risk posting your passport to Vietnam Embassy. Neverthess, please keep in mind that Vietnam visa on arrival is valid only when you are flying into Vietnam. The process is pretty simple, you just fill out an online application form and pay us the service fee to get an approval letter after 2 working days. You'll then receive a copy of visa on arrival approval letter signed by Vietnam Immigration Department via email. Then, you just need to print out and show on arrival at Vietnam airport. Here, you also have to pay for the stamping fee to get you visa stamped on your passport. With our delicated team, you are able to get a free-hassle trip to Vietnam.
